I am responsible for delegating tasks to the VP, Treasurer, and VP of Marketing regarding meeting presentations, club advertising, scheduling, and succession planning. This includes liaising with the university and passing along relevant information and tasks regarding registration, potential events/opportunities, and required trainings. For the fall, I plan to lead the club in an expansion of our topic offerings, adding bargaining, fraud avoidance, and alternative personal finance perspectives. I am also planning to expand our advertising to the colleges of education, engineering, and English so as to attract non-finance savvy students who may gain more from personal finance material than business students. Finally, we are going to investigate partnering with the College of Business on more focused personal finance events for a broad audience as part of the periodic "adulting" lessons they already offer.

    • Founder
      • Sep 2022 - Present

I founded the Student Money Skills Club in order to enable every UF student to graduate with the ability to manage their personal finances. I connected with Ramsey Solutions to obtain curriculum and worked with Dr. John Banko and the Heavener School of Business to develop and register SMS as a student organization. As the club has grown, I have worked to further develop our educational offerings, establish an executive board, and attract new members from outside of the business school.
