  I started as an invoice typist - as the company did not own any computers. I progressed to help put in a computer system, implementing control procedures, overseeing credit control and ensuring data integrity. I learnt book keeping, and working with our management accountants how accounts should function in a company. It was a fantastic learning experience - I can't pretend I was the best Financial Controller in the world, and it's not a career path I have chosen to follow, but great nonetheless. Show less
