InSight Acoutics is the creator of the HyperMicTM, a 4D Free Space Sounds Capture & Inspection System that performs both real-time and post-facto audio-scoping onto any number of targets/subjects/persons/groups within even the most noise challenged coverage environments, from either real-time feed or from a recorded feed. Today’s State of the art surveillance systems for covering large venues, such as transportation hubs, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, etc. are characterized by large numbers of medium to high resolution video camera having overlapping coverage areas, but for the most part provide little to no acoustic capture capabilities. The main reason for this is that today’s microphones are not up to the challenge. More specifically, omni-directional microphones capture more background noise than sound of interest, which makes them useless when they are more than a meter or two from the sound source within a public environment. Directional microphones can only target and capture sound from one direction at a time, making them impractical for large dynamic locations where more than one person can be of interest at any given time and/or when the targets are moving. Without the relevant sound, video from a situation being observed over a surveillance system only provide half the picture. Breaking through the sound capture limitations of today’s conventional surveillance systems, InSightAcoustics has leveraged its extensively patented HyperMic™ Technology to provide the HyperMic™ DIGITAL 4D AUDIO SURVEILLENCE PLATFORM.
