Veeco PSP is a manufacturer of automated process equipment for the semiconductor industry. In my time at Veeco, I successfully led development for multiple new products, both large and small. As a mechanical engineer, my responsibilities included concept generation and evaluation, detailed design, creation of technical drawings, and testing of prototypes. In addition to use of SolidWorks CAD for design and drawings, I was responsible for SolidWorks Simulation structural FEA and flow simulation. I worked closely with the electrical and software engineering teams to produce automated electromechanical components and systems. Additionally I participated in the interview and hiring process for new engineers and trained new hires on Veeco's systems and procedures. Show less

I designed sheet metal stamping dies as well as inspection and manufacturing fixtures using AutoCAD. Additionally I created CNC programs for mill and lathe to machine metal parts (mostly tool steel) using MasterCAM. This was all done in the context of a small shop which was ISO certified. I began as an hourly employee and was moved to salaried before I left to pursue a Master's degree. I designed sheet metal stamping dies as well as inspection and manufacturing fixtures using AutoCAD.
