  This is my pet project, where I invested in an online hobby store that was in business for 2 years, and expanded it to a lifestyle & hobby business, and opened two outlets in Colombo. Being in the business for more than 10 years and now we are representing many renowned international brands. We also develop children’s designing and engineering skills by introducing remote-controlled model planes to them. Most of our customers are young adults who have a passion for gadgets & electronics. Apart from hobbies, now HOBBYTECH is a brand on its own and has a team of young software and mechatronics engineers who work with Australian and European startup businesses helping them to get their software needs at a nominal cost. We have developed a few interesting commercial drones which are already in use for Dengue Control and Agricultural sectors. And currently researching a system to help the plantation industry to improve field supervision using automated drone monitoring.

  Served Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC in the capacity of a consultant to support the organization in branding and product development from late 2016, Accepted a full-time contracted position that was offered in June 2018, and I was instrumental in setting up an all-new retail marketing department. Got involved in brand development & product development work using my expertise in creatives., We have finalized over 150 SKU of tea and spice products, packaging, and the e-commerce platform and launched at the local value-added tea and spice market. Introduced the products at World Food Expo in Moscow, Russia in 2018.
