Bishop Canevin has been called the "Notre Dame" of high schools--indeed it is! I've taught at other high schools, including my Alma Mater (Montour High School in McKees Rocks), and the difference cannot be described. Our mission statement reinforces the fact that we are "anchored in faith, enriched by learning, and enhanced by service to the community." This is academic uptopia! The administrators--Mr. Kenneth Sinagra, Sister Judy Worden, and Mrs. Reinhart--could not possibly be more… Show more Bishop Canevin has been called the "Notre Dame" of high schools--indeed it is! In this position, teach a variety of computer and keyboarding classes, from basic to advanced. Community College offers a fine education for little cost; my colleagues are wonderful and quite proficient at what they do. I am thrilled when I receive e-mails from former students and am grateful that what I did helped them to find more suitable employment with the skills they learned. Price Waterhouse afforded me a wealth of opportunities. Although I did not want to become an auditor, I completed feasibility studies across the country, scheduled staff, maintained rating statistics for Pittsburgh radio stations and other companies, and much more. In this position, I was asked by the chief partner to work directly for President Ronald Reagan and his staff when he visited Pittsburgh. It was a tremendous experience I will never forget. I have to laugh--a company brought in the first Apple computer and explained its use to the entire staff. The great majority of my colleagues said, "There's no way I'll ever touch anything like that." I found it fascinating and was drawn to it immediately.
