As an intern at the European Youth Film Festival in Antwerp I was mainly responsible for communication and production. I more specifically was in charge for the targeting of different audiences (different age-groups, clubs and intermediary organisations). I moreover had the chance to organise several collaborations and events like a free podium and a storytelling moment for toddlers after a film screening. My main responsibility during and in the run-up to the festival was to organise the stay of, and accompany and guide, the professional jury consisting of: Boris Van Severen (Belgian actor and musician) , Gertjan Willems (Film-academic at the University of Gent), Justin Johnson (member of the BFI) and Katerina Fojtova (former staff member of Zlin festival and current sales manager at The National (Czech) Film Archive). I planned their stay, organised activities, accompanied competition-film screenings and supervised jury deliberations. Show less

Production Assistent (Internship Student)

Sep 2015 - Sep 2015
As an intern at the Kopergietery, a creative venue for children and young adults, focusing on drama, dance and music in Ghent, I worked as production assistent for PITCHbull, a performance for youngsters (and adult) starting from the age of 12. PITCHbull tells the story of a "present-day Robin Hood [who] takes the fight for the right to vulnerability, and gives a voice to all those who are heard too little. On his chivalrous quest our protagonist pairs up with unexpected companions who clearly fail to meet the ideal picture of what a youngster ‘should be’. With angelic song and ruttish beats they set off on a musical road trip to youngsters whose hearts have been braver than their tongue - until today." "Electro punk pop meets musical kitsch in this new show by theatre makers Johan De Smet and Joris Hessels, the young musical/film talent Amaryllis Uitterlinden and Belgian up-and-coming electro punk duo Compact Disk Dummies."
