President of St Olave's Law Society
-
Feb 2019 - Mar 2020
As President of Law Society I led the leadership team in organising a weekly event, including the society's 1st ever mock trial.I gave presentations on trial by jury/Diplock Courts, ouster clauses, and an analysis of Miller No.2. In addition I hosted other presentations on various topics ranging from family law, to corporate law to criminal law. I routinely asked every presenter a series of questions designed to sharpen both of our legal minds with a focus on Oxbridge-style interview questions. I then repeated this exercise by carrying out rigorous interviews for the next President and Vice-Presidents.Being President of Law Society helped develop my critical thinking, organisation, presentation and research skills.

I led a team of 4 students during the Kingsley Napley Legal Apprentice competition.I developed my leadership and team-work skills whilst adapting to various different tasks including case analysis and interviewing and pitching to clients. The experience was very helpful in providing some insight into the role of a criminal solicitor.
