As a placement year student I worked in Financial Accounting and achieved the following tasks: • Prepared cashflow monthly therefore, I learnt to analysis the transaction report to identify the cost or income that impacts on the financial position and it taught me about the type of incomes and expenses the organisation deals with. • dealt with salary sacrifice orders by checking employee’s information and accept the order if it meets the requirements. • debt payment by allocating any bank payment and create batch for invoice in E finance system then I update the working paper to keep track of payments received (daily task). • creditors mailbox checking invoices and process to the system by using DBcapture to update the ledger and check if the invoices information is correct (daily task). • contacting suppliers for outstanding orders and ask to send invoices due to year end where I had to get as many invoices sent and processed for payment to meet the budget target. • worked with System Account and learnt how to set up new employees to the system and create access for employees according to job roles, application form and restrictions.

worked in NHS South Sefton CCG for 6 months as an undergraduate student and was involved in different tasks and responsabilities such as: • Invoice account payable function, learnt to code invoices in Oracle system and communicate with suppliers to request backing information and NON PID information then it will be forwarded to budget holder. • learnt to prepare budgets for different cost centres by updating a transaction report and allocating the cost to their subjective codes to calculate various accruals, recharges, variances and forecasts for each month and to reconcile with trail balance which improved my analytical skills to find missing transactions not been recorded or wrongly coded invoices, also I learnt to interpret the information on the budget to analysis and comment on the variances. • Learnt creating budget journals to move costs to the budget it related, accruals journal for expected costs up to date and adjustments journal for reallocating costs to the right cost centre or subjective code if invoices are coded wrongly. • Learnt about VAT and Payroll processes. • shadowed Contract Accountant and attended different meetings.
