The project's objective was to investigate the effects of cognitive exercises on the speaking characteristics of dementia patients. A series of sub-objectives were defined to achieve this goal:• Acoustic and linguistic features were extracted from patients' audio files and their transcriptions.• Significantly different features between dementia and control participants were detected.• Machine learning methods were utilized to label participants as cognitively healthy or unhealthy.• Changes in the means of the selected acoustic and linguistic features were evaluated before and after cognitive training and at one-month follow-up.
