One of my key achievements was the creation of an innovative indoor mapping system that utilized sensor data to provide accurate location information. To further enhance the platform's capabilities, I developed a proof of concept for measuring the height and depth of objects in 2D images, enabling users to gain a more comprehensive understanding of their environment. I also led the architectural design and development of a modernized version of WoNoBo maps, which involved creating a JS library for maps and designing integrations for 3rd party clients. I developed service APIs that were optimized for high-scale consumption, with daily usage of up to 600K. To optimize performance and reduce costs, I implemented various AWS technologies, including Lambda, and moved older API-based architecture to AWS Lambda for future scalability of the infrastructure. Through this approach, I was able to achieve significant cost savings of up to 20%. In addition to these accomplishments, I developed an internal tool for extracting information from 360-degree 2D imagery to assist one of India's leading DTH providers in planning growth and expansion. The tool utilized object detection and classification to identify buildings and determine their use (e.g., residential or commercial) and the number of floors. Created a user-friendly mobile web application that enables students to access past university question papers in an organized, searchable format. This platform significantly reduces the amount of time students spend searching for relevant questions by up to 80%. By incorporating frequently asked questions (FAQs), students can easily identify the most commonly tested topics and tailor their studies accordingly. To further enhance the platform's functionality, we developed a question recommender system that utilizes advanced algorithms to suggest similar questions based on a user's search history. This feature enables students to broaden their knowledge and deepen their understanding of the subject matter, leading to better performance on exams. Overall, this mobile-friendly web application has been instrumental in helping students optimize their study time and achieve academic success through efficient and effective exam preparation.
