Guido Peters is a great,focused and dedicated Manager who has a great deal of support,respect and motivation for its staffs/colleagues. I cant imagine working for a better manager. I worked in the capacity of Country Group Manager until February 2007 with Guido Peters at the Lighting International Sales Division (subsidiary of Philips Lighting) , whereby Guido was the regional Marketing Manager. During that period, I had the great pleasure of working with/for him and learn from him. Guido is an inspiring manager, who leads by example and from the front. He has been able to transfer his drive and passion to co-workers and peers alike. Throughout the past 2 extremely challenging years in the Lighting division (that deals with 80 countries in the Middle East and Africa), he was able to make the proverbial difference and keep people focused, inspired and motivated to get towards the set goals. Towards the customers and colleagues, Guido is a creative, resourceful, but always solution oriented person, who time and time again came up with win-win compromises when faced with issues: Delivery upon Commitment is clearly ingrained in Guido's approach. In dealing with countries that qualify from "basic" to "very advanced", it was Guido who inspired numerous tailored marketing campaigns. His broad, overall experience and understanding of the diversity of the target countries has led to customized Best Practices initiatives, that in turn led to a major improvement in sales and the brand position of Philips. Guido has excellent written and verbal communication skills and needless to state that he gets along extremely well with colleagues, ranging from the lowest to the highest echelons. The threshold to approach Guido is low, "his door is always open". The touch of humour, sincerity and loyalty make him a popular cornerstone of the division.
