      Based off the success of IO Integration in the USA I was asked to launch the IO Integration brand in to the UK market in early 2012. As Managing Director I was responsible for the recruitment of Sales, Support, Pro-Services and Admin staff whilst also pitching for and winning new business. Targeting agency, retail, corporate marcom and publishing organisations we quickly established a strong client base in the UK and achieved profits whilst remaining debt free for each of the 5 years I was at IO Integration, we also launched a UK office based in London. During the 5 years at IO Integration I arranged many trade-show events, customer events, webinars and product focused micro events and also dealt with all our major suppliers including Dalim, censhare and North Plains from sales, marketing and support angles. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention all of the IOI UK staff were emotionally engaged in supporting our core values of providing amazing customer service and as a result we never lost a customer in 5 years. My role at IO Integration was extremely varied but I enjoyed my time establishing the company in the UK and I'm proud of what was achieved.

      Working at Xinet (Now NorthPlains) was a challenging and diverse role. The role involved working globally with extensive travel which in-turn required an understanding of business practices in different countries. Being in Technical Sales it was my job to work with the channel partners globally, ensuring they fully understood the Xinet product and any new enhancements. I would assist in demonstrations, complete RFI’s and RFP’s and also train and educate the channel partners both in person and via webinars etc. The role involved marketing the product from different angles for different audiences and the marketing was targeted to aid pre sales and to protect maintenance revenue post sale. Some marketing examples would be product literature, tool sheets, network topology diagrams, FAQ’s etc. All those marketing pieces also cut out a lot of time in the RFI and RFP process as the toolsheets and FAQ’s could form part of the response. Speaking at many events and doing live demonstrations was a regular occurrence, which meant ensuring the demo stayed relevant and current with any new functionality. I would also account manage and visit existing clients to ensure any feedback was captured in R&D so the product could evolve and stay relevant to the customer base. In some cases I also managed direct sales and ensured the channel partners were progressing deals and maintaining pipeline.
