I’ve had the chance to work with Gaute on many projects throughout our MBA program. In addition to being a genuinely smart and hardworking guy, there are a few things that really set him apart as a valuable asset to any team: 1. He enjoys sharing insights on leadership and teamwork from his experiences in the Norwegian military, and have been working with key professors to try and implement them for students at Sauder. 2. He is extremely perceptive and has very high EQ, which leads to a team environment where everyone feels comfortable and encouraged to contribute. 3. He takes feedback very well and frequently looks to his teammates to find ways to improve himself (eg. joining Toastmasters to further enhance public speaking). Overall just a super well liked individual in the program, and very strong team player with a lot of leadership qualities.

During our MBA, Gaute was a great sounding board and provided very helpful words of mentorship. His ability to ask great questions and give tangible feedback added a lot of value to my time at UBC Sauder.
