Bio
Jon Yungkans
Over the 10 years that I worked with Gertrude Bradley, she was never less than an absolute joy. She was always professional, engaging and considerate. Gertrude carried herself with nothing less than a positive attitude and remained determined to get done whatever job she was assigned, no matter what it may have been or the urgency with which she was expected to have attended to it. If she was not completely sure of the parameters, she was not afraid to ask questions. She double-checked details, made sure the job was done right and on time. She never failed to deliver. Gertrude was especially helpful in coordinating efforts between my department, Editorial, and hers, Marketing. This was seldom easy for her. Both departments generally operated under tight deadlines that were not in sync yet, because of the number of projects with which they had to cooperate, had to interface on a regular basis. She literally became the glue that held everything together, whether it was meeting the advertising deadline on a magazine, executing a television marketing campaign or starting the ministry's website, www.faithdome.org. Occasionally the strain might showed in a brief expression or a quick glance; neverntheless, she always remained patient in tone, accommodating in manner and willing to go the extra mile.
