Key Responsibilities of my current role: Manage all welding training and assessment activities carried out by the business and provide guidance and support to team members within the department on all procedural, technical and safety issues related to welding. Design, develop and deliver effective welding training and assessment products, Pilot and evaluate new welding processes and technology in order to establish the effectiveness to the business. Secondary Responsibilities: Internal Auditor/Internal Verification Manage and conduct internal audits of the training facility to ensure compliance with requirements of accreditation bodies to maintain training licenses for welding activities. Liaise with external accreditation bodies when carrying out external audits on the business to maintain training licenses. Internal verifications on trainers/assessors to confirm compliance with current standards and legislation – this role requires classroom audits and on site audits of trainers/assessors to maintain the individual’s training and assessment licence. Welding Standards: Covering the role of Welding Engineer/Standards Manager, attending Network Rail/CEC Territory Welding Engineers meetings on behalf of the business, providing a supporting and advising role on all welding related issues to the business. Expertise/Strengths One of my main areas of expertise which I have developed over the years is having the ability to source key people and put together a strong team with the ability to tackle short and long term projects, by matching skills and abilities with the requirements of the role in order to maximise potential and through the utilisation of positive constructive empowerment to achieve sucessful outcomes.
