  I currently manage training at Cranbourne Transit. This includes all recruitment, Induction, annual, accident and incidental training to a workforce of approximately 150. Further to this, I manage all training for Mansfield/ Mt. Buller Bus lines operation based in Victoria. The role requires building, managing and maintaining both framework and all structures involved in the modernization of these. The Cranbourne operation is primarily local government bus contract based with a small charter and school bus component. The MMBL operation is highly specialized, being based in the Victorian alpine region and falling into the category of a hazardous area. The MMBL operation includes over snow operations, transfer, school bus, snow shuttle, car park shuttles, snow limousine and snow taxi and in many cases required specialized vehicles. Show less

  I managed a team of 5 qualified trainers covering a workforce of 1600 drivers base at 12 depots. All Induction, annual, accident and incidental training was conducted by the team. Working with both Recruitment teams, Depot Management and also Group management, strategies where devised and put in place to help the phenomenal growth undertaken. The Ventura Group are recognized as the industry benchmark regarding regarding government contract work. This was achieved and maintained by use of initial induction and subsequent driver support. A robust training/ assessing / support framework was created allowing Ventura to meet compliance and enviable results. This was repeated throughout the business from government services through to charter, school bus and express services. Several large projects where undertaken including overseas recruitment in Ireland and driver security and well being. During my term at Ventura a large takeover of Grenda bus lines was initiated with our team reforming all training within the Grenda Group and realigning with that of Ventura. This brought accident/incident rates down and improved contractual compliance. Show less

I was a integral part of the team who recruited drivers from Ireland and was involved in this pioneering project. Working closely with organisations both in Australia and Ireland.
