I joined the finance and administration team at Project Recruit in 2015 as Payroll Assistant and Recruitment Administrator, assisting with the management of the payroll process and general office management. I provide a high level customer service function to our candidates, and assist the Finance Administration Manager in supporting our clients fulfill their finance administration needs in relation to our recruitment services. This involves secretarial and administrative support as well as handling all new starter compliance on behalf of our clients. As Payroll Assistant and Recruitment Administrator for a boutique recruitment consultancy my responsibilities include:• Acting as first point of customer service contact for our candidates’ payroll and administration needs• First point of customer service contact to our clients’ finance teams, in the absence of the Finance Administration Manager • Running weekly payroll, liaising with candidates and chasing timesheets • Solving any payroll or PAYE queries• Register candidates onto our database and ensure all candidate records are complete with required documentation attached• Running Background Checks for all the candidates• General recruitment administration including the issuing of contracts and organising of employee references• General office management, including ordering stationery and ensuring all office equipment is fully functional • Compiling and running of reports, both internally and externally as well as the distribution of payroll information as required • Performing credit checks on new clients
