Cardno Construction Sciences performs Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing. My primary role was to manage Cardno’s operations on the Corpus Christi LNG (CCLNG) project located in Portland, Texas. I was the manager of Cardno’s on site testing laboratory which had a sub-contract value in excess of $US 4M. I was the manager of a team of 11 full-time professional and technical staff for the project. As the facility manager, my role was to make sure that our operations on site were compliant with the company’s contractual obligations to the primary contractor, Bechtel. I was the chief negotiator of any sub-contract variations including the development of business cases to Bechtel’s commercial managers and technical managers. I ensured compliance to internal quality systems, and compliance to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations. My role required a highly client-focused service and the provision of deliverables in an accurate and timely manner.
