Responsibilities and Accomplishments: Leadership: I directly supervise 140 employees in all matters of retail merchandising and operations in a facility which generates over $100 Million in sales annually. Project Management: I helped manage the setup of a new Supercenter in West Valley City, UT; a five week project where I met critical deadlines to ensure an on time Grand Opening. Project Management: I helped manage the setup of a new Supercenter in West Valley City, UT; a five week project where I met critical deadlines to ensure an on time Grand Opening. I also helped manage the remodel of an existing store in Taylorsville, UT. Project Management: Walmart recently rolled out new task management software called My Guide. This software enables managers to communicate, delegate, and follow-up on vital tasks. Upon initial roll out our facility was ranked last in the district with My Guide execution. I was assigned to be the manager for this project to turn it around. I learned everything about the software, communicated the My Guide procedures and processes to my team and followed up regularly. Within one month we met or exceeded all company goals with My Guide and I was asked by my supervisor to train other managers. Training and Development: I facilitated the implementation of new company programs and processes in a high volume fast paced environment. I developed weekly lesson plans on a variety of subjects from Inventory Management to Human Resources and taught them to twenty Department Managers. Human Resources: I directly manage the staffing, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining, and training of 140 employees. Inventory Management: I improved the inventory management of my facility. Our bin accuracy for the backroom was only 70% where it needed to be at 90% or greater. I analyzed data and metrics from various sources to determine root causes. I then improved our staffing, restructured our processes, conducted training, and followed up daily to communicate results with my team and my supervisor. Within one month our bin accuracy score reached 90% or greater and we maintained it.
