      Since 2000 to the present day I have had design responsibility for all Aker / Qinterra wireline conveyed tractor designs and some associated rotational applications. Over a number of years starting in 1996 I also helped develop the wireline tractor service on a wide range of challenges, including sourcing simulation software, down-hole DC motors, motor controllers, and hydraulic pumps, custom gear and bearing systems, special sealing solutions, surface power supply and control systems, downhole safety subs, release tools, high power cable heads etc.. basically all aspects necessary to provide a fit for purpose electric wireline tractor service From 1980 to 1996 I worked for Schlumberger, first as a logging engineer in the Middle East, providing cased hole and open hole logging and completion services in Abu Dhabi, Iraq and Syria, then as a technical support engineer for the Central Gulf Division where I supported the UAE, Yemen, and Iran. I moved to Norway with Schlumberger to take a technical staff position in GECO HQ, before leaving in 1996 to join my current company - now called Qinterra Technologies.. Show less
