I teach primarily 10th Grade World History (Honors & On-Level) and 11th Grade Government & Economics (Honors & On-Level), but I have also taught courses in early American History (18th-19th Century) and 20th Century American History (1914-present) as well. I have also been active as a leader within my department, helping to develop an academic competition club for National History Day as well as working in the curriculum reevaluation of our World History and Government & Economics curriculum while also authoring a new elective courses in Pennsylvania History. Outside the classroom, I currently work in the district as an assistant director / drill instructor with the Elizabethtown Area High School Marching Band, served as a class advisor for the Class of 2014 for all four years of their high school journey, and run the High School / Middle School National History Club for students interested in competing in the National History Day competition hosted each year.

Working on trains and teaching tourists about Pennsylvania's great industrial heritage. Trained and operated a miniature steam locomotive known as "the Cagney", which was built around 1910 and learned the basics of steam locomotives while also working on a variety of other family-friendly attractions around the rail yard. Helped to organize, implement, and run the 2006 NHD National Contest including registration, merchandise sales, student / teacher accommodations, providing perspective NHD donars with a tour of the University of Maryland site for the National Contest, and making phone calls to Congressional representatives for their support of NHD on Federal funding bills for the current / upcoming fiscal year I worked in the national office of NHD, bringing historical education to students across the country.
