Gerry's work rehairing bows is immaculate. Having heard about his initial experiments with learning to rehair bows, I asked him to rehair my viola bow--and was beyond impressed with the results. He straightened the stick for free, refinished the wood where the lacquer had worn off, and did such a beautiful and detailed job with the rehairing. I took the bow to the viola professor at the University of Oregon, where she proclaimed it to be an incredibly good rehair job.

60 bows rehaired/repaired for individuals and for Newberg School District:-Straightening and/or re-cambering stick, including moving camber closer to bow tip.-Refinishing stick.-Re-carving Chinese-made tip mortise, frog mortise and ferrule channel to accept traditional European-school rehairing. -Replacing (plastic) tips on wood, carbon-fiber, and fiberglass bows, with either fiber or plastic liner.-Replacing leather grips; installing shaped leather cello grip.-Reconstructing abalone slide; creating new ebony slide liner or ebony slide.-Replacing wire, "whalebone", silk and leather windings.-Rehairing with different hair thicknesses: White, Palomino, chesnut, and black. -Polishing ebony, abalone, nickel and silver fittings.
