William Wertz

I'm the President of the Parkshore Resident Association, a CCRC at 1630 43rd Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112. Parkshore is, IMHO, the crown jewel of Transforming Age (TA) and is currently in the process of a complete 31-million dollar upgrade. As part of working with the Executive Director here at Parkshore I've also, in my role, had the opportunity to work with several senior level TA executives including George Twiss. I've known George for only a couple years but quickly ascertained that he is on top of his game. He was responsible for TA's Foundation during the, at least here at Parkshore, difficult construction period that was/is frustrating for residents and staff alike until it's completed. That said George has justly earned the respect of the residents that are the movers-and-shakers of our community. He was able to take Parkshore's endowment level to new heights. He's a smart guy who knows how to get things done. I highly recommend his services and wish him well in his new endeavor.

George Twiss gladly stepped from his role as Board Member into the role of Interim Executive Director for Seattle-based Powerful Schools just when they needed him most! He created a bridge for the organization to sustain leadership during a time of transition. Doing this, he was able to drive organizational growth and impact. Powerful Schools, now a program of the YMCA, is going strong. Thanks, George!
