Editor- Tomorrow's Retail Floors, Tomorrow's Tile & Stone, Tomorrow's Care
-
Jan 2016 - May 2021
January- November 2016: Acting Editor of Tomorrow's Contract Floors I began my time at Opus Business Media providing maternity cover as Acting Editor of Tomorrow's Contract Floors, a digital monthly magazine for the contract flooring sector. My role involved sourcing and writing content to strict deadlines; creating a flat plan each month; regularly updating the Tomorrow's Contract Floors website and social media pages; editing all content right through to the production stage; attending trade shows and events; liaising with PRs. January 2016- Present: Editor of Tomorrow's Retail Floors During my time as an Acting Editor I also looked after Tomorrow's Retail Floors, a digital publication which concentrates on residential flooring and is aimed at flooring retailers. I then took over the publication permanently as Editor and the magazine went from a quarterly publication to bi-monthly. September 2016- Present: Editor of Tomorrow's Tile & Stone In September 2016 I took over as Editor of the recently launched, bi-monthly publication Tomorrow's Tile & Stone. Using skills and knowledge developed from working on the flooring titles, I liaised with current contacts and built relationships with new clients to source content and increase reach. September 2016- March 2017: Co-Editor of Tomorrow's Laboratories Alongside my Co-Editor, I helped to launch the latest publication to the Opus portfolio, Tomorrow's Laboratories. This required extensive research of the laboratory science sector and the topics covered within it. We helped to create a website and Twitter for the new title; sourced contacts through various channels; promoted the launch via email and social media; created a features list; and sourced content for the issues. April 2017- Present: Editor of Tomorrow's Care I am now the Editor of Tomorrow's Care and have combined my editorial skills with my knowledge and experience of the care sector to source and create content for this publication.
