Workshop Facilitator
-
Jan 2023 - Present
Working with Great Places Housing Association as a volunteer facilitator has been such an amazing experience in workshop planning, community-specific arts engagement as well as working within a charity-led team of facilitators and care-providers. Great Places Housing Association provides housing and support services to vulnerable community members, supporting them in their transition to more independent living. Working with Great Places on their “Bring Your Beats” project has enabled me to plan music-based workshops and work with the local community to explore sound, music and connection! I’m so grateful to Cheryl and Paula from Great Places who’ve been supporting and allowing me to lead. This job allows me to focus on one of my primary morals as a creative and performer; using the power of the arts to help and connect with communities and vulnerable people. Show less

Lead Singer

Red Rabit Cabaret is a brand new Cabaret and Performance company based in Manchester. Formed by three upcoming musicians; one composer, one pianist and one singer - we are bringing new stories, music and life to the stage through Cabaret. Having performed a set at Sonata Cabaret Bar in November 2022, we have been invited back to perform our own headline show at Sonata in January 2023 debuting new original work. I am excited to be a part of a performance troupe that brings queer, intimate and engaging stories to life. Show less

My role was working alongside a colleague to provide academic and personal support for a group of new students. I met with these students weekly, arranged activities, points of discussion and being available on and off the clock for any questions or needs. I personally gave extra support such as being present at any performances or events they were a part of. This experience developed my skills in shared leadership and planning for groups as well as interpersonal communication and relations. It was great to be able to provide help and relief to students at the start of their university career as well as creating strong bonds moving forward. Show less

Musical Theatre Performer
-
Jan 2013 - Aug 2015
For three years I received professional Musical Theatre and Performance training from the British Theatre Academy. Performing in shows such as Dear Edwina, Aida, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Sweeney Todd, The Little Mermaid Jr and Annie Jr (West End) - I was afforded incredible experiences performing across the UK with many fellow cast members now performing full time in the West End and in Television. I also had the chance to perform at Charity Galas at The Grosvenor Hotel and in front of Sir Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Aida). I’m incredibly grateful for my time with BTA, the skills it gave me as a professional performer and resilience I learnt as an individual. Show less
