Georgia is a professional capable of multitasking many responsibilities whilst maintaining control of all areas under her responsibility. A very personable individual who proved to be a valuable part of the team and would have no hesitation in recommending her to any organisation.

As a Career and Alumni Coordinator, I am managing the operations of two distinct departments ensuring that students and alumni have the necessary skills to professionally progress and achieve their career goals. Within this dual role I am committed to empowering students and alumni to achieve their professional goals through tailored guidance and support. With individualized career counselling sessions, I am actively supporting students from various disciplines to successfully plan their careers, develop an efficient job/internship search approach, secure internships, enhance their application materials (CV, Cover letter, LinkedIn profile) and be competitive in the global market. To further support this, I am constantly establishing professional relationships with employers, recruiters and hiring companies globally to meet the needs of students and employers alike. In addition, I am also involved in organizing, coordinating and delivering specialized career development workshops covering the full recruitment cycle such as internship search strategies, how to land a great interview, salary negotiation, creating a winning CV, career fairs, project management workshops, online presence and brand management to name a few. Working closely as part of a professional team, we strive to provide an outstanding career and alumni provision to our students which after their graduation becomes a lifelong service. These efforts successfully help students and alumni to become job-ready and stand out from the competition. Show less

    • Curriculum and Program Development Consultant in Higher Education (HE)
      • 2015 - Sep 2021

There are two things that fascinate me the most about curriculum design and program development. First: the concept of enhancing the student experience and how this can be achieved within and between disciplines. Second: the challenge of doing all the necessary research (and paperwork!) in such a way that persuades the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA) that the program of study under evaluation is of high quality and will enhance the student experience. My expertise draws on developing academic and professional programs of study for higher educational institutions in Cyprus and includes methodical curriculum design and development process across many disciplines. It involves research, preparation of applications/forms, and leading the procedures for the Accreditation-Evaluation of graduate and undergraduate studies as per the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA) which is responsible for ensuring the quality of higher education in Cyprus and for supporting the continuous improvement and upgrading of higher education institutions (HEIs) and their programs of study through the procedures provided by the relevant legislation. KENTHEA is a centre for information about Drugs and Treatment of Drug Dependent Persons. It has been one of the foremost non-governmental organisers of preventive and research activities regarding substance abuse in Cyprus and has been involved in the European School Survey Project on Alcohol and other Drugs (ESPAD) since 1995 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture in Cyprus. ESPAD is a collaborative network of independent research teams in more than forty European countries and the largest cross-national research project on adolescent substance use in the world. The overall aim with the project is to repeatedly collect comparable data on substance use in as many European countries as possible. In 2007 I was actively involved in the organisation and technical support of the project, attending ESPAD meetings which are held internationally, together with representatives from the other involved parties and had a significant coordinating role in the implementation survey process, including methodological preparation, questionnaire distribution and collection, SPSS data management, analysis and reporting of findings.
