    • Network Resource Intern
      • Sep 2014 - Dec 2014

As the Network Resource Intern, I created charts of different special needs individuals throughout the Greater Tucson area and made sure they were receiving the services they signed up for through the government Department of Economic Security. If there were any gaps between services needed and services being provided, I alerted my supervisor and sometimes called the service provider to get an update on the individual they were supposed to be providing services for. • Summer Intern
      • May 2014 - Aug 2014

I worked with children between the ages of 2.5 and 7 that had Sensory Integration/Processing Disorder (SID or SPD). I also helped an Occupational Therapist come up with different activities that would strengthen fine motor, muscular and general coordination abilities in children with SPD that were developmentally behind. Furthermore, I aided children in physical exercises that improved their proprioception and understanding of their body. These physical exercises included playing games that encouraged more communication across the child’s corpus callosum, which resulted in the development of a dominant hand and learning how to write along with other important skills.
