  Working at Queensland X-ray has provided me with ample opportunities to work independently and develop my technical skills as a radiographer. Beyond general radiography, Queensland X-ray has facilitated my training in the modalities of CT, Mammography, CCL and hybrid imaging. Whist on a student clinical placement at Queensland X-ray in 2020, I was offered a position as a technical assistant (TA). I worked as a TA within the MRI department where my responsibilities included safety checking patients before their examinations, cannulation and positioning patients for their scans. During the time I was working as a TA, Queensland X-ray offered me the very first Regional Graduate Scholarship after they were impressed with my work ethic and ability to adapt to clinical scenarios. Once I graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Sciences, I assumed a full-time graduate radiographer role in January 2021.
