Bio
Washington Internship Institute
I first met Georgia McKee when she interned through our program in the summer of 2019 at SOS Children’s Villages, a highly regarded international charity organization that helps orphaned and abandoned children globally. I was struck by her work ethic, focus, and impressive academic record when she began her Donor Stewardship and Communications internship, and watched her become an asset to her team as she worked on mailings and campaigns, assisted with communication with donors, conducted research, and planned fundraising events. Based on this record of success, after she completed her term in DC, we asked Georgia to be an Alumni Ambassador for our program at Belmont University. She promptly proved herself to be one of our best and most proactive Ambassadors. Due to significant turnover in the Global Education Office at her campus, Georgia had to plan her on-campus promotion entirely independently. She strategized by speaking to organizations that would be likely to draw in prospective applicants, represented the Washington Internship Institute at her campus career fair, and met with individual students to address their questions and concerns about the program and application process. We have been so impressed with Georgia’s performance in the role, we asked her to stay on for another semester. I believe that Georgia would be an excellent addition to any team. She is a resourceful, detail-oriented person and an effective communicator. She has my highest recommendation. Please feel free to contact me at greg@wiidc.org if you need any additional information or clarification. Sincerely, Gregory M. Weight, Ph.D. President and Chief Executive Officer Washington Internship Institute

I worked with Georgia while she was an Intern with Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Georgia has a passion that was unmatched all summer long, she is driven, focused, and very hardworking. She stands up for what she believes and works to help others believe in themselves. She is compassionate and strong and you would be blessed to work with Georgia someday.
