My role oversees the operations (strategic and day to day) of the London and Amsterdam offices. This also requires close liaison with our wider, global counterparts to ensure local issues are communicated effectively, managed and resolved, as well as the promotion of cohesion across markets where necessary. Daily, I support local operations staff across their divisions - this includes sharing reports, problem-solving, triaging issues and trafficking local projects and more. My role spans all departments (staffing staff, HR, IT, finance through to management) requiring great stakeholder management. On a wider scale, my position demands a focus on improving and implementing processes, streamlining workloads, understanding/mapping out changes in compliance/legislation across the EU business and working with key stakeholders to adapt accordingly. Ongoing support/responsibilities include - database training/support; onboarding/training all new hires (internal and external) across markets; RFP/RFI management (completion and submission); project planning (forecasting and analysing using Salesforce, Tableau etc.); product localisation and development; creating, curating and advancing Major Accounts support; EA and PA duties to UK MD; candidate contract management and dispatch; local compliance implementation and adaptation (GDPR, IR35, AWR) and many more. As a member of our senior management team, I am expected to be knowledgeable and aware, mature and measured, and as a result, influence positive change from this standpoint.

This role required me to support two like divisions. I headed up an office of approximately fifty people - ranging from our UK MD through to account directors, staffing staff and support team members – managing the local facilities, staff and dealing with ad hoc requests as necessary. As an extended part of our Shared Services sector, I also had a wider, global remit. This allowed me to own and impact upon pilots and initiatives for the North American and European markets as well as the UK. My global and local initiatives/duties sat alongside each other to create a uniquely demanding, varied but rewarding role.
