  • Assisted with structural steel design and foundation design checks for new provincial steel gate specifications. • Developed, coordinated and executed an experiment to evaluate the accuracy of a handheld Ground Penetrating Radar device, a rebar metal detector (Profoscope) and a Schmitt Hammer. • Wrote a technical report on the methods of rebar discovery and identification, their accuracy observed from my experiments and, their practicality for use by the Ministry Structural Engineers on existing concrete bridges with unknown rebar caging and sizing. • Researched, co-authored, edited and published a Concrete Repair Guide for Concrete Bridge Components which were then distributed across the province for use on FSR bridges in BC. • Created and programmed a new railway crossing inspection form for iPad with JavaScript in Adobe Acrobat. • Pursued opportunities to expand my technical knowledge and actively sought to participate in professional development. • Expanded my technical knowledge regarding timber, steel and concrete bridges and structures. • Kept emails and documents thoroughly organized and archived for easy access and continuation by the next coop student.
