I worked for George at Museum in a Box for four brilliant years. During that time she transformed the company from a small gem of an idea into to a business that has been able to work with clients large and small on every content (excluding Antartica… one day!). George was fantastic at understanding my strengths and interests as well as allowing me to explore and expand them through our work. She sat me down once and asked what I’d like to work and improve upon through the company, she took on board what I’d said and gave me the opportunity via a number of projects to explore and improve in exactly those areas. That on the job learning meant I became confident and competent in areas I’d previously been perhaps too intimidated to try out, or never had the chance to do until that point. It also gave me the confidence to try out new things without the fear of failure. Every day was different at Museum in a Box and it was both a pleasure and an honour to work closely with George given her extensive experience in the Design world. It always felt like we were driving the company forward and George did a great job at setting clear goals, making information clear, and reviewing our progress and where our efforts were best put. As well as a boss, George felt like a real mentor in work and life and I’m so grateful for the experience and wisdom she imparted on me during my time at the company. Thanks George! P.S. Art walks rocked!

George was Stamen's first Art Director. At a time when we needed it, she brought design oversight to dozens of our projects and made them sing. I wish she still worked with us, and several my clients have told me the same thing. If you're really looking to understand your problem and have the solution expressed beautifully, call George. I'm watching goodformandspectacle closely and am very excited to see her continuing to do beautiful and informative work.
