The position of Graduate Assistant includes: • Review technology portfolio and determine/update status based on research of invention, communications with inventor, and commercialization/patent potential • Communicate with inventors to understand inventions at a public and layman’s level • Create one-page summaries of inventions to highlight the importance of the product and offer potential companies with licensing opportunities • Maintain point of contact between inventors and OTT/TTC to ensure that the office database is up-to-date, and inventors are provided with prompt and proper service • Conduct market research analysis of inventions and prepare reports to determine if the inventions have patent or commercialization potential • Prepare invention background and market research reports for OTT/TTC program coordinators and licensing managers to understand the invention and determine potential efforts Show less
