In my final year at University I have returned to my role as a Student Mentor at the Guild of Students providing support through the Student Mentor Scheme to students living in University Accommodation on a wide range of issues such as emotional and mental health, homesickness and academic and financial issues. Through my role as a mentor I also look after 121 support cases proving extra help to these students throughout the academic year. I also once again worked on moving in weekend and with the rest of my student mentor team was responsible for moving in over 6000 students over two days. Show less

Category Analyst

Jun 2016 - Aug 2017
For my placement year I worked at innocent drinks as a Category Analyst. In my role I was responsible for all of our total market reporting using a variety of data sources extensively to measure total category, innocent, our competitors and product market performance. I then used this data to create reports and to update our different trackers all of which were used across the business and externally to retailers. In addition to this I managed the relationship with our data agencies organising onsite days, training and managing the coding of new products into different databases. I was also the internal category lead for the Coconut Water market helping to deliver data and insight to support our growth in this area. I was trained and am now comfortable using data sources including Neilsen GTC, Kantar Worldpanel, Kantar Powerview, IRI, Temple, Dunnhumby, i2C and 5One. Show less

My role as a Student Mentor at the Guild of Students was to provide support through the Student Mentor Scheme to students living in University Accommodation on a wide range of issues such as emotional and mental health, homesickness and academic and financial issues. During my time as a mentor I had several extra support cases with students who I successfully supported and helped to overcome the issues they were facing demonstrating my excellent communication skills. On welcome weekend I was directly responsible for leading a team of 30 people to help move in over 1000 students over 2 days. As a result of my role as a mentor I am trained in mental heath first aid and was also highly commended in the National Student Employee of the Year Awards in the Above and Beyond Category. Show less

Customer Service Assistant
-
Sep 2012 - Sep 2014
In my time at Homebase, I worked on the Customer Service Desk dealing with difficult customer queries and ensuring that any problems were rectified allowing the customer to leave satisfied with the service we had offered. This improved my problem solving skills and has developed my ability to find solutions and complete each task with a high attention to detail. I was also responsible for cashing up after shifts ensuring any problems were reported and corrected as soon as possible. I carried out overtime on the nightshift for 2 weeks, improving my knowledge of store operations. I also successfully used product database system SAP highlighting my IT ability. Show less
