  I’ve worked in the prison industry since 2000. I started off working in HMP Kilmarnock as a clerk then within a few months progressed to Prison custody officer. I worked in various departments including search team, Segregation, halls, health care and visits. I joined Reliance custodial when they won the prisoner tansport contract in Scotland helping set up the control room then controlling the various areas and routing once we were live. I was promoted to supervisor and did this for a few years covering day shift. I was then asked to cover nightshift supervisor which I did. I have since covered night shift however gave up my supervisor title once G4S took over so that I could continue working nights as it suited my family life. I am currently the main night shift router for G4S along with another colleague. We both share the job as such all be it that I work just Sunday to Thursday. Show less
