During the time spent with UpCo, I had the change to work in a multicultural environment, within a team built of self-driven colleagues. Besides Angular and NestJS, I had the opportunity to increase my skills on NgRX, TypeORM, SQL database structure and queries, integrations with 3rd party apps, like SendinBlue or Google and Apple wallets. The main domain of the app suite is part of the larger food chain industry, including food stock management and delivery. My contribution to the projects includes not only bug fixes, but also new features, such as integrations of internal card types with Google and Apple providers, new loyalty payment module and other specific business requirements. Throughout the time spent within Moldoweb team, I had the chance to work on 2 projects. The first one walked me through carbon footprint measurement of users across the United States. I worked on an Angular app, backed up by Firebase and Cloud Firestore. The second project represented an opportunity for me to enhance my leading skills, whereas I guided my colleagues towards building an Ionic application designed for fitness. Whilst working on a large-scale project, I discovered I had leadership and people management skills, hence I unofficially took the role of SCRUM master for the team and received great feedback, along with suggestions to follow a management path for the future. During this time, I came up with fresh ideas, especially whist participating in these so-called innovation days. I continued improving my tech skills, not only within the scope of the project, but also outside it, by participating at EMEA PUG Challenge conference for two years in a row.The first edition was in Barcelona, where I held a presentation about design patterns applied in Progress. I received great feedback, both from my colleagues present there and from the organizers themselves. For the next edition, the one of 2020, which was held online, I prepared a presentation on the topic of fast data entry in Progress with Arduino. Following that, I worked in an office making some tables, changing the Visual Basic back side. The tables included data about deliveries, scheduled etc. Based on them, we had to generate graphs. The aim was to keep a clean record for possible presentations.
