George is a great asset to any team. His attention to detail is second to none, ensuring any work or job he carries out is to the highest standard. He has shown great team working and problem solving skills in various group projects that I have accompanied him with and is a great asset to The Brighton University Motorsport Team where we are both committee members.

Julie Fowlie MA, SFHEA, FCMI

George's degree course has provided him with the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and knowledge to prepare him for the future. He has also been required to demonstrate time management, organisational, teamwork skills and the motivation to succeed. During his final year, he was part of team of final year students who designed and delivered an online development centre using MS Teams aimed at supporting fellow students develop graduate competencies. I wish him every success for his future career.

As a BSO for Public Health England, my responsibilities include call handling, email processing and updating databases with regards to the Covid-19 pandemic. This role has given me first-hand experience with handling sensitive information, dealing with public/business enquiries and has further enhanced my communication skills. This role has also emphasised the importance of effective teamwork, especially with the transition to remote working which I had only previously encountered during my time studying at university. I am a proud employee of PHE and am enjoying both the challenges this role presents, and the rewards that come with it.

As a leisure attendant, you are responsible for lifeguarding the pool, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the poolside area also the changing facilities. Through my time here, I was able to evidence good communication skills, not only by dealing with members complaints but also reconciling with the team on shift to ensure the safety and satisfaction of all customers.
