Design and draft the complete sheet metal, structural metal forms, bends, and weldments for the manufacture and assembly of machine tool coolant accessories. Responsible for the selection and optimization of high and low pressure coolant pumps, while simultaneously optimizing the fluid dynamic characteristics of mounting, plumbing, and hose routing. Drafted all coolant system electrical enclosure penetrations and back plate layouts to incorporate available options for standardized manufacturing and field retrofit. Invented, in collaboration with Makino Inc, an ultra light weight mist collector suitable for use on top of machine tools enclosures without impacting the machine’s physical geometry. Designed a new 3-axis leg assembly for mounting and adjusting mist collectors directly to machine tools.
