As part of my time at university I spent a semester working at the RFU across several departments. International Events and Competitions - Carrying out tunnel checks and sound and lighting tests prior to 6 Nations fixtures. - Ensuring sponsorship arrangements are being adhered to around stadium from both the RFU and its partners. - Liasing with various media teams on match-days. Executive Sales - Ensuring Partners' executive boxes are ready for guests prior to match-days. - Making sure each client's demands are met to give the best possible match-day experience. - Conducting market research into local entertainment venues regarding different events being held and pricing of said events. Rugby Development - Gained basic level coaching and officiating qualifications which I demonstrated in assisting with the delivery of coaching sessions within schools and refereeing at inter-school competitions. - Met with key volunteers within local amateur rugby clubs to discuss the health of their club and give advice on how to improve their rugby development efforts. - Used the RFU's Game Management System to assess the health of the female sport within Middlesex and present findings, including a number of recommendations back to a board of Rugby Development Officers.
