My master’s research focused on the interactions between climate change and pathogens on the physiology of bivalve species. Focusing on immunological and metabolic responses, I explored the intricate mechanisms behind mass mortality events and their broader scale ecological and economic consequences. The wider aspirations behind this work were to better understand the significance behind anthropogenic pressures and to inform management to help decrease the risk to our life support systems.
