  I worked with a group and partners to the Mundabullangana beach where we encountered nesting flatback turtles, and once fully trained by the supervision of the Field Team Leader, I would collect data of flipper tags and pit tags on the turtle including and scars/ injuries, size, and next coordinates. If the turtle had not already been “tagged”, I would have to inject pit tags into and place a flipper tag in its left flipper.
