My research pertains to three areas: (1) the derivational morphology of Swampy Cree, which is spoken principally in northern Manitoba and Ontario; (2) the development of useful and effective models to teach Swampy Cree as a second language in schools; (3) the production of video documentaries about remarkable people and contemporary social issues. Courses I teach pertain to ethnographic practice and theory, linguistic anthropology, and visual anthropology.
