  As a Planmning engineer I was responsible for creating and managing large bills of materials for both production and repair functions. I had to ensire that change control process was followed for any drawing changes to occur on live project. My responsibilities also included the work on both mechanical and electrical parts and to reasolve any issues on the shop floor relating to the planning.

  During this time period, I learned how to plan on an Infor Evolution MRP system. I used the knowledge I had gained from the shop floor to enable me to start planning the electrical harnesses I previously manufactured and from there I was able to learn how to plan mechanical parts. I assisted on all major projects to broaden my understanding of the processes whilst working alongside highly experienced members of the team

  I was reponsible for creating CNC programs on AlphaCAM so that the CNC department in the company could run them and cut the composite board that is required for the manufacure of the aircraft units. I was also responsible for creating the tooling jigs required to assemble these parts and to aid production.

  During this apprenticeship, I learned how to manufacture electrical looms in accordance with design drawings and specifications. These all had to pass various quality stages and checks in order to be accepeted. I went on to gain experience in installation of these looms and harneses into aircraft units. Alongside this, I gained an understanding of the inspection processes required to ensure quality control.
