I have known George for 12 years and have spent a great deal of time under his guidance in the early years of my professional career. George was leading manufacturing engineering at Hayes and had just left his position when I arrived to Hayes. I had very big shoes to fill but I was assigned only a small portion of George's past responsibilities. The reasons I would recommend George to any company fall into the many categories that most people would write a recommendation: hard working, bright, thorough, intrinsically motivated, opportunistic, competent, persuasive, etc. But there are categories that stand out. We stayed in contact after his departure from Hayes and he took the time over lunches and phone calls to help me in my new job.
