  A cross-continental investigation into the exposure of African DDT on European barn swallows. Investigating how DDT derived from South Africa impacts barn swallow populations across Europe and the variation between countries within Europe.   Investigation into the impacts of rising temperatures in urban heat islands on invertebrate colour morphology. Investigated the variation of invertebrate colour patterns between habitats in urban and rural locations. Objective of identifying a phenotypic pattern on a temperature gradient. Extensive solo fieldwork was carried out over a 5 month period using a JAZ portable spectrometer to measure the reflectance of each invertebrate. Analysis was carried out using OceanView, ArcGIS and R. In-depth report produced on the findings with multiple presentations explaining results to both academia and general public. Show less
