At Tysers I was placed in the US Property & Casualty team. I spent time shadowing the brokers in Lloyds, attending meetings with various underwriters and data entry on excel. I also spent a day with Auto & Transportation and Political Violence & Terrorisms. My time at Tysers was very informative and helped me develop my knowledge of the role of a broker and now have seen both sides of the Lloyds market. During my time at CNA Hardy I was placed in the Marine insurance which included the following area's Hull, Energy, Marine Liability and Cargo & Specie. Over the two weeks, I spent time shadowing the underwriters in Lloyds, attending meetings, data entry, spending a day in the claims department and a day with a Broker. This experience was extremely informative and helped me develop my knowledge of the role of an Underwriter. Gaining a valuable insight into the luxury industry.
