10 June, 2020 PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION FOR MR GEORGE BROWN George Brown is a logistics expert. I have known and worked with Mr Brown during logistics and supply support activities and found him to be a very competent individual. His skills, experience and knowledge in procurements and logistics were a very significant asset to our organization, working in support of NATO during and after the Bosnian wars. George is a patient and level-headed individual, organized, methodical, orderly and able to create useful systems and complex procedures practically and effectively. He aims to please and I have found him to be hardworking, diligent and industrious. At all times he fulfilled his duties on time, appropriately and satisfactorily. Throughout the course of George’s employment, he always dealt with various departments inside and associated with NATO’s supply structure, including Logistics, Procurement, Programme, and Financial units. He also provided significant assistance to related projects, which were working in the local vicinity. He is known as a firm, composed and very able character who is used to providing results, sometimes to difficult deadlines and in trying circumstances. The tone and character of George’s association with colleagues was always friendly, professional and capable and he showed himself to be prompt, punctual and efficient. He is an open and pleasant character and a good communicator. His English language skills are excellent and I have found him to be ambitious, determined, persevering and generally goal-oriented. Management and development of logistic and supply chains is a complex and very demanding task. The type of personnel required to establish and maintain such activities within an operational environment is very high; George has consistently proved his worth as a logistics officer many times over. Procurements, supply and logistics in the areas he worked with were consistently of a very high standard. I believe that he could be an asset to any organization. He is an excellent character and his professional approach, coupled with his friendly character has always made him a most respected personality. As well as being courteous and polite, he is also committed, loyal and devoted. He is a team player, a thoroughly reliable, honest and trustworthy individual who is detail-oriented, punctual and quality-minded. I would be very pleased to personally recommend George to any prospective employer as a man with considerable skills and qualities and I would unhesitatingly further this reference to any organisation. I first met George when he was the then Contract Technical Officer for NAMSA (now NSPA) at Kandahar Airfield. George was responsible for overseeing contractors from a technical perspective to ensure they were operating within contractual and legislative limits. George was straight-forward in his approach and held a firm resolve in addressing concerns pertaining to his mandate.

After living and working abroad for many years, and jointly deciding on taking a sabbatical...extended rather longer than anticipated due to the pandemic and largely spent in the garden drinking gin & tonic or walking the dog, I am working in a Customs coordination role but looking for a more interesting and challenging position...
