As a apprentice I was treated as a engineer from the get go I had to adapt and learn on the fly , reponsibilitys of site and line set up were place upon me from the 6 month point onwards along with first aider and fire warden. This was challenging but fulfilling at the reponciblitys and rapid learning that I had during this time developed me rapidly as an individual having and been trusted to work alone along with being trusted with services and projects overall I treated my time at abp as a job and was not referred to as the apprentice and treated as a working member of the engineering team which looking back has helped me with my career progression.
