  Leading independent designer research fashion exhibition and showroom in Paris and the only one organized by designers themselves, dedicated to serving the interests of selected independent designers at a specific international level. Across 25 editions, Area provided a very special artistic platform for the newest and the very best of independent design. From 2003-2010, Area Paris and Area Private enabled more than 65 independent designers from Europe, Asia and North America to present over 191 individual collection presentations in Paris to the international fashion industry at the highest creative levels. Of these, 39 were world premiere introductions, and some have created trends that have led the industry. The unique story and creative energy of Area also helped generate over 3 million cumulative impressions in editorial press coverage on the show and its participants in fashion and trade media worldwide.
